My sketchbook for drawing 2. Let's recap on my three favorite drawings and critique them.
Okay, I did an ink drawing of my bias in ATEEZ, Song Mingi. I found an old photo of him during one of their eras and I was bored that day, definitely Sunday boredom in the library. I decided that I wanted to elevate my skills and practice in what I learned in class.
I applied the wet-2-dry technique on my bias, by using Black India Ink , flat brushes and water. The wet-2-dry one was the most easiest for me, in my opinion because it is refined and controlled.
I found my composition first and started off with my whitest area(The background, the outer part of his eyes and the cross chain). Then my medium gray(his face, neckline, and bottom part of his glasses). Next, the dark grey( the shadowing on his neck, his hair a little, and his eyebrows.) Finally, my black( his shirt, eyes, part of his hair, and upper part of his glasses)
On his hair, he had multi-color hair at the time, so this was my first try using the technique on him. But, this was impressive so far.
Next, I did Natty from Kiss of Life, I don't know if y'all have heard of them, but I did hear. Because I wanted to diverse my sketchbook with not only male celebrities, but include women as well.
Okay, I used the wet-2-wet technique I learned in class, and let me tell you, it was a mess!
Totally unhinged at first, but it gave the best results, sometimes. For instance, I messed up on my queen a little with her eyebrows and the necklace. I found a picture of her online and works on my skills at little.
I could have done her hair a bit darker, but the photo was too bright. The only black areas were her eyes and eyebrows. Unfortunately the water took over my so called masterpiece.
But it could have be worse.
Lastly, and blankly, this is another one of my bias from ATEEZ, Choi San. I found a picture of him and I thought in looked so cool, how could I not DRAW it!!
However, we just recently learned about using the collage technique. Basically cutting paper for lighting and shadowing purposes.
Honestly, I could have done better, but it was late and I had to rest up for exams. I did this last night(05-03-26) so yeah. Only thing I did right was the shadowing.
Yup, that's it.
Y'all can leave a comment to critique it yourself. Have a nice day :)
